Brad and Mel were travelling around Australia when a stopover in Kalgoorlie changed their course. Within hours, they had secured jobs and soon realised that Kalgoorlie offered not just work, but a place to build a future. What began as a short stay has grown into more than a decade of family life, business growth and strong community connections.
Today, they own and operate BMC Plumbing & Gas, a trusted local business providing plumbing services to mine sites, residential properties and commercial clients. With a skilled team of seven, Brad and Mel take pride in delivering quality work and contributing to the community by meeting local needs and creating employment opportunities.
Life outside of work is centred on family. With two young children, weekends are filled with footy, soccer, squash, swimming, and tennis. They also enjoy spending time out in the bush riding motorbikes and getaway trips to Esperance. For Brad and Mel, Kalgoorlie is a place where opportunities are plentiful, the community is strong, and life offers time for what matters most.
