Starting at 5.30 am and working an 8 hour day.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Accountable for processing, submitting and records maintenance of:
• Compile monthly site registers and training data and upload into the training system.
• Maintain site training matrix.
• Reporting on upcoming compliance inspections as per the Contractor Management Systems (CMS).
• Liaise with Perth based mobilisation team to assist with the onboard of personnel to site.
• Onboarding contractors for operations and maintenance departments.
• Updating the weekly maintenance service schedule.

• Receipting purchase orders on behalf of maintenance.
• Driving company vehicle to pick up or drop off personnel or freight where required.

What you’ll be drilling into

• Operating a Pantera rig for blast holes – clean patterns, correct depths, all to plan.
• Keeping the rig in top nick with basic checks and care so you’re not stuck on breakdowns instead of drilling.
• Working closely with your supervisor and shotfirers to make sure every pattern is set up to fire smooth.

Non‑negotiables (before we even talk metres)

• Minimum 2 years on a Pantera rig – this isn’t a “learn as you go” gig.
• Cert III in Drilling.
• Valid driver’s licence and a clean National Police Check.
• Able to pass a full pre-employment medical (including extra cardio checks if you’re 45+).
• Preferably Kambalda or nearby – we’re chasing someone who’s already local, FIFO maybe considered for the right candidate.

About you

• You take pride in straight holes, tidy benches and safe patterns – not cowboy stuff.
• You’re the “head down, get it done” type who still has a laugh on the bus and in the crib room.
• You back safety, look out for your crew and don’t mind mentoring a less experienced offsider when needed.

You’ll be part of a crew with good banter, strong systems and leaders who’ll actually back you with training and progression.

• 2:1 swing, 12‑hour shifts.

• Managing fleet, plant, equipment and tooling availability

After six years of steady, deliberate growth, the owner is bringing in a General Manager to deepen leadership capability, stabilise systems as the business scales, and step back from being across every operational decision.

What this role is really about

Your job is to be the coach and anchor point for a growing leadership group, not the person who runs around “fixing” everything. You will:

• Develop and stretch team leaders so they can lead without constant escalation.
• Strengthen and mature an operating system built on Lean and continuous improvement.

This is not a mining leadership role, and there is no large corporate support function. It is a lean, hands-on, high-expectation operation that happens to service mining clients.
