Blessing's Story

Fourteen years ago, Blessings moved to Kalgoorlie from South Africa, seeking a new beginning for herself and her family. What started as a significant change quickly became a place of belonging — a community where both she and her children found opportunities to grow.

Today, Blessings is the Regional Lead for the Chamber of Minerals and Energy in the Goldfields, a role that connects her with industry, people, and the major projects shaping the future of the region. She sees firsthand the breadth of opportunity in Kalgoorlie and the pathways available for people choosing to build their lives here.

Outside of work, Blessings values the strong sense of connection that defines life in Kalgoorlie. She enjoys attending local events, being active in the community, and sharing everyday moments with her children, who are now completing their apprenticeships in town. Watching them begin their own journeys in the same community has been one of the most rewarding parts of calling Kalgoorlie home.

With a supportive migrant community and a welcoming atmosphere, Blessings believes Kalgoorlie offers the perfect environment to build a career, raise a family, and truly feel part of something meaningful.

“If you’re looking for a fresh start, career opportunities, and a place to belong, Kalgoorlie is it.”
