For Aimee, Kalgoorlie is more than just a place to live, it’s the community where she has built her career, friendships, and family life. After completing her Masters in Mining Geology project at the Super Pit, Aimee knew Kalgoorlie offered the right mix of opportunity and lifestyle. A few years later, her career brought her back, and she has called Kalgoorlie home for the past 13 years.

Today, Aimee is the Mining Manager for Northern Star Resources’ Kalgoorlie operations. Having been with the company for more than a decade, she values the way they have supported her professional growth while encouraging work-life balance — something she considers essential as both a leader and a parent.

Outside of work, Aimee embraces life in Kalgoorlie with her husband Dave and their young daughter Madison. Whether camping out bush, exploring local nature playgrounds and museums, or tending to their garden at home, the family loves spending time outdoors.

For Aimee, Kalgoorlie offers the best of both worlds: a thriving career in mining alongside the chance to come home to her family each evening. She believes it’s a place where people can truly grow, both personally and professionally, while enjoying the strong community connections that make regional living so rewarding.
