Clinical Lead

The Cultural and Clinical Lead reports directly to the Manager SEWB and plays a key leadership role within the Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Team. This position is responsible for providing both cultural and clinical guidance, offering supervision, and ensuring high-quality SEWB service delivery for Bega clients.

Key Client and Stakeholder Relationships
External
  • Liaise and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of organisations and stakeholder groups

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients as required

Internal
  • Maintain close working relationships with all BGHS employees

  • Work closely with, and report directly to, the Manager Social Support

  • Essential Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Knowledge

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology or a related field, with eligibility for professional registration with the appropriate Australian regulatory body

  • Proven ability to provide clinical leadership and supervision for mental health and SEWB workforce

  • Demonstrated experience in people management and the ability to empower staff to achieve program outcomes and improved service delivery

  • Proven capability in improving organisational effectiveness and efficiency

  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills

  • Flexibility to undertake regular regional travel

  • National Police Clearance (within 3 months)

  • Current WA Working with Children Check

  • Current WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence (or equivalent)

  • Strong commitment to Aboriginal Social and Emotional Wellbeing and high-quality customer service

  • Knowledge of SEWB issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

  • Current AHPRA registration

 

Desirable
  • Understanding of the Australian mental health service system and key reform drivers at State and Federal levels

  • Experience in leading continuous quality improvement processes, including collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to enhance practice standards and service outcomes

  • Strong skills in managing stakeholder relationships across government, non-government, and community organisations
