Aboriginal Health Practitioner Educator

Bega Garnbirringu Health Service is seeking an experienced Aboriginal Health Practitioner Educator to coordinate and facilitate the delivery of the HLT40221 Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice, along with other accredited training on the RTO scope.

The role ensures training is delivered efficiently, in accordance with Nindila’s policies and procedures, and in consultation with the Training Manager.

Essential Criteria
  • HLT40213 Certificate IV in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent

  • Current, or ability to obtain, AHPRA registration

  • Demonstrated capability in developing, delivering, and evaluating effective training and education programs

  • Sound understanding of the roles of Health Professionals and Aboriginal Health Practitioners/Workers

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

  • Proven organisational and time-management skills and ability to adapt to changing needs

  • Current Working with Children Check

  • Current National Police Clearance (valid within 3 months)


Desirable Criteria

 

  • Knowledge and experience in phlebotomy and pathology collections

  • Knowledge of the 2015 RTO Standards

  • Experience with Communicare

  • Understanding of cultural factors and social determinants impacting Aboriginal health

  • WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence

  • High-level word processing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to travel as required within the region


Conditions of Appointment

 

Before commencing employment, the successful applicant must provide:

  • Valid Working with Children Check (WA)

  • National Criminal History Check Certificate (valid within 3 months)

  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate
