ABOUT THE ROLE

Norton Gold Fields is seeking an Underground Mine Surveyor to join our new underground mine c. This project is a convenient 30-minute drive from Kalgoorlie. 

The Underground Mine Surveyor will be conducting all mine survey activities so as to support the aims detailed in the mine plan. With a focus directed towards the collection and accurate interpretation of spatial data which is integrated into the mine planning and reporting process. 

KEY DUTIES AND TASKS

• Conduct surveys of all underground openings and ongoing maintenance of the underground void model.

• Measuring total volume of material moved.

• Measuring underground excavations.

• Installing lines and grades in development headings and stopes.

• Pegging out areas to be mined.

• Surveying mine configuration; and locating blast and exploration drill holes.

• Maintaining up to date data entry records and ensure data is available when required.

• Provide all relevant survey data to mine production/ management personnel in a safe, efficient and effective manner.

• Produce plans as and when required including development memos, traffic management plans, emergency plans, statutory mine plans.

• Work safely and contribute to safety systems of underground operations.

• Work closely with all mine personnel to aid in the effective running of an underground operation.

• Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of all survey equipment is done on a regular basis.

• Any other duties as required.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant tertiary qualifications (Essential)

• Current unencumbered C Western Australian Drivers License (Essential)

• Surveyor Grade 1 Authorisation (Highly Desirable)

• Senior First Aid (Desirable)

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

WORK KNOWLEDGE:

• Minimum 2 years' survey experience in underground mine environment.

• Experienced with laser mark ups.

The Counsellor reports to and is directly accountable to the SEWB Cultural & Clinical Lead and is responsible for providing support in the delivery of Social and Emotional Wellbeing care to clients.
The Counsellor forms part of the SEWB Multi-Disciplinary team and works collaboratively with the team and other programs areas.
The Counsellor role will provide SEWB support services to assist our clients who are dealing with a wide range of issues including grief and loss grief, depression, domestic and family violence, family and/or relationship matters and any other issues which impact on social and emotional wellbeing.
The Counsellor will ensure the delivery of culturally appropriate social and emotional health support to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities of the Goldfields.
Outreach travel will be required for this position.

Essential:
 Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Counselling/Mental Health, or Psychology and/or appropriate professional registration in Western Australia.
 Minimum 3 years’ experience working in mental health and/or drugs and alcohol) settings.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION Midwife: This position will provide comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care to the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) women of the Goldfields region. A key component of the role is to work in partnership with other maternity providers to ensure women receive timely and culturally appropriate care with the aim of closing the gap in maternal health outcomes.
